weddings: santa clara, ca.

i can’t believe how much time has passed since my last post! i found out i was pregnant in september & have been taking a bit of time off from booking events – but i’m due in may & ready to begin scheduling for the fall again!

this past fall, i had the honor of planning the wedding of someone so near & dear to my heart, my beautiful sister kate!

her gorgeous fete took place in the stunning santa clara, california at the historic mission church. kate & her husband chris both attended santa clara college, so having the wedding at the church on campus was something kate had dreamed on since she was a little girl!

she was such an easy bride & knew what she wanted all along. i was just there to make sure all the details were in place and her day ran perfectly! her dream vintage soiree of cranberry hues meshed with the rustic charm of the mission and the day turned out to be more beautiful then expected!

happy holidays!

wishing everyone happy holidays & a very merry christmas! hope you are filled with joy, laughter & love!

cheers,

weddings: dobbin, tx.

this past october i had the honor of coordinating one of the most beautiful weddings yet! dobbin, texas is a tiny small town with a gorgeous venue – olde dobbin station.

mixing vintage + elegant details led to exactly what this bride had envisioned! the ruffle cake, the signs, the sparklers… it was all just fantastic!

my week in pictures.

some weeks are better then others, just like anything in life. some are more exciting, more ‘photogenic’, more share worthy. this week has been one of those – & i have a feeling so will this month!

here is my week (+ maybe a day or two) in pictures…

everything tastes better with a party straw. especially one with a gold polka-dot flag!

fun new fabric & wallpaper collections from thibaut. (love that shepherd!)

pink paint can be chic & grownup. more pictures of my new painted office to come!

afternoon treats at sweet in houston! best pistachio macaroon i’ve had in the states.

my fun new stack of reading material that doubles as beautiful decor!

can’t wait to share my next upcoming events & projects with you soon! stay tuned…

cheers,

bridal shower: shades of pink.

bridal showers are my favorite intimate events to plan. the brides are always euphoric, as it is a day dedicated solely to them. also, a kick off to the rest of the wedding celebrations to come!

this sweet bridal shower was hosted yesterday, in honor of the beautiful bride-to-be who loves all shades of pink!

[does a flower girl get any cuter then this?]

stay tuned for the wedding! xo.

wedding vendor gratuity.

one of the most common questions i get asked by my brides is, “how much should i tip my vendors?”. tips are never mandatory―they are supposed to be an expression of appreciation for especially good service. with that said, it is customary to show your gratitude by tipping many of the people involved in making your a wedding success. here are a few guidelines to help you navigate:

it is smart to assign someone you can rely on – typically, one of the fathers or the best man – to hand out envelopes with the non-contract tips in cash, either at the time of service or at the end of the wedding.

hope this helps!

bridal shower: ‘kate spade’ esq.

life has been full of celebrations lately, & my most recent soiree was inspired by the fun, quirky & sophisticated style of ‘kate spade’.

the event took place in an older venue of sonoma county, that we were able to transform to make fresh & modern.

[quirky table settings in mixed metallics, pink, stripes & polka dots... & of course bow tie napkins]

[florals & coffee bar]

[bulletin boards we covered in favorite quotes & photographs]

[monogrammed cookies for kate!]

[the mimosa bar was my favorite touch & a huge hit!]

[best wishes guest book]
